Kelli Wilson is excited to join The Colony High School Band as the Associate Director.  She is responsible for conducting the Symphonic and Concert bands, assisting with the marching band, and other ensembles at TCHS.

Prior to joining the staff at The Colony High School, Mrs. Wilson served as the Director of Bands and assistant director in Kennedale ISD and held various roles throughout Alvarado ISD.  Bands under her direction have placed in the Area D Marching Band Finals, TMEA Honor Band State Semi-Finals, and received UIL Sweepstakes Awards.  Her students have been successful at the ATSSB Region, Area and State level as well as the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest.

Mrs. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas where she graduated with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude. While at UNT, she studied clarinet with Mrs. Deborah Fabian, participated in the Green Brigade Marching band, Concert Band and Symphonic Band, and was the conductor of the Secondary Band. Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmaster’s Association.

When she is not at the band hall, Mrs. Wilson enjoys traveling, kayaking, hiking, or spending time with her husband, 2 miniature poodles, and not so miniature husky-poo.
