Color Guard / Winter Guard

What is Color Guard?

Color Guard is a performance activity that involves dancing and spinning flags, rifles, and sabres. During the fall season, color guard performs with the marching band at football games, pep rallies, and local/national competitions. During the winter/spring seasons, color guard performs as the “Winter Guard” separate from the band at competitions both local and nationally.

What if I don’t have any experience?

Great! We will teach you everything you need to know to be successful at the try-out! Most color guard members show up to the audition completely new, and we have a great staff that can teach anyone how to do it.

Why should I join?

Color guard is a lot of fun, and the TCHS guard is nationally recognized and has won numerous awards from both regional and local events! You get to travel a lot, make new friends, and learn new skills performing, dancing, and spinning equipment. *Color guard also takes care of both your fine arts and PE credit requirement if you enroll in the class!!*
