Steve Seibert earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas.  He has had a successful career as a band director and a trombonist.  He led bands at Arbor Creek Middle School, Lakeview Middle School, Marcus High School, and Little Elm High School.  He currently teaches lessons at Hebron High School, The Colony High School, and Arbor Creek Middle School.  He is active as a trombonist, clinician and adjudicator in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.  Mr. Seibert is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and is a member of Slideshow, a trombone ensemble.

 

Mr. Seibert’s Teaching Philosophy

Learning to play an instrument is a complex task, but when broken down into smaller, easier steps, can be mastered and enjoyed by any student.  Success is achieved one step at a time with each lesson building on the accomplishments of the last one.  A positive and encouraging approach by the teacher will lead to a young musician that is motivated and enjoys playing their instrument.
